The Rollin to the Polls Voting Initiative worked to increase voter engagement in Montgomery, AL since 2016. Their mission is to provide information, resources, and tools to help engage communities to become active voters. Once Rollin to the Polls empowers communities with the ability to be an informed voter, the issues of those communities gain significance in the eyes of politicians and decision makers. They become actively engaged in the voting process and politicians will work harder to gain their votes during elections by supporting their issues.

In 2016, The Montgomery (AL) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., began expanding its organizing efforts with a CALL TO ACTION to fellow organizations and churches. By implementing the Rollin to the Polls (RTTP) Voting Initiative, we created goals to push GOTV efforts by increasing community engagement through voter registration, voting rights restoration, voter education, Election-Day services, and mobilization. Our impact is maximized if candidates and politicians are hearing the communities we serve.
