Meet Gay Pride Apparel
Founded in 2019 by best friends Jesus Gutierrez and Sergio Aragon, Gay Pride Apparel was born out of a powerful idea: LGBTQIA+ people deserve to see themselves represented, boldly and proudly, every day, not just during Pride Month.
As first-generation Mexican-Americans and proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Jesus and Sergio built a brand that reflects inclusivity and joy. What started as an Instagram page has evolved into a thriving business that celebrates and uplifts queer stories, uplifts underrepresented voices, and designs apparel that sparks connection.
A Partnership With a Purpose

From the start, I knew our partnership was going to be something special.
In the early stages of our collaboration, what stood out most was how aligned we already were, both in our values and vision. But on a personal level, it felt like so much more than a professional connection.
Growing up in Arizona as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Jesus and I had actually been in the same orbit for years, running in the same circles at student council events and statewide conferences. Unknowingly, we were laying the foundation for a future where our paths would reconnect through mission-driven work. We both went on to attend Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!) and eventually made our way to New York City in the years after the pandemic.
I remember first buying Gay Pride Apparel merch in 2019 after spotting it in an Instagram ad, and I never imagined that years later, we’d be in partnership, building something meaningful together.
This journey reminds me that we never know how our connections might come back around, in new cities, new movements, or new ways of creating change. The power of showing up authentically and planting seeds is proven through our partnership with Gay Pride Apparel. You never know which ones will grow.
Working together during such a critical year for LGBTQIA+ rights and voter access, I’m proud that we get to combine our creativity, our communities, and our shared roots to create impact.
Together, we co-designed a limited-edition tee that embodies queer joy and civic power. Whether you’re protesting, tabling, dancing at Pride, or heading to the polls, this shirt is your reminder: you can show up fully as yourself and still fight for change.
We’re thrilled to collaborate with Jesus and Sergio, not only because they’re incredible designers and visionaries, but because they lead with heart. Their story is proof that when culture and activism come together, we create something powerful.
