Pride Month - Celebrate and Support LGBTQIA+ Community

Whether you're out and proud, an ally, or someone just beginning to explore the beautiful spectrum of identities, this month is all about celebrating discovery, love, unity, and the vibrant diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Pride Month isn't just about the parades, the parties, or the rainbows (though they’re pretty awesome!). It’s a powerful reminder of the struggles and triumphs of the LGBTQIA+ community. This month signals a time to honor those who fought for the rights we have today and to recognize the ongoing fight for equality. It’s a celebration of love in all its forms and the freedom to be who you truly are without fear of discrimination, oppression, or judgment.

Ways to Celebrate Pride Month

  1. Educate Yourself and Others: Knowledge is power! Learn about LGBTQIA+ history, rights, and issues. Share what you learn with friends and family in person or on your social media. Pro tip: further educate yourself by looking at what’s your ballot that will secure LGBTQIA+ rights!

  2. Support LGBTQIA+ Creators: Follow, share, and support LGBTQIA+ artists, writers, musicians, and influencers.

  3. Attend Virtual or In-Person Events: From parades to panel discussions, there are tons of events happening. Check out what’s going on in your area or online.

  4. Show Your Pride: Rock your rainbow gear, display pride flags, and share messages of support on social media.

  5. Support LGBTQIA+ Organizations: Donate your time or money to organizations making a difference (maybe even one we highlighted below).

We are the Change

Pride Month is a call to action. It’s about being visible, speaking out, and standing up for equality. Whether you’re volunteering, donating, or simply being there for a friend, your support makes a difference. Let’s work (and vote) together to create a world where everyone can love freely and live authentically. Make sure you’re registered to vote so that you can show up at the polls and help secure LGBTQIA+ rights with your ballot!
