+ POSITION: CONTENT CREATOR

Are you a storyteller energized by the idea of getting young people to show up and vote this November?

We’re seeking impassioned video content creators to develop engaging and authentic user generated social media content that inspires young women and people of color to vote.

You’ll create original visual stories.. You’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to produce end-to-end videos. You’ll aid in discovering what makes people tick and how to meet our target audiences where they are. This includes concept, vetting the idea, scripting and promoting the content we make.

This role is currently virtual until a vaccine for COVID-19.

You’ll report to the Head of Content and be working with a scrappy team of entrepreneurs, activists, data scientists, game makers, creatives and agency types.

This role is as a freelancer starting now for at least two months.

Basic Qualifications

  • Creative, feet to the ground, know what’s current with an uncanny sense of what inspires young people to take action.
  • The ability to tell and produce stories fast.
  • Storyboarding, shooting, editing.
  • Fluent or strong knowledge of, instagram, facebook, youtube platforms.
  • Ability to shoot, edit and produce content using a variety of tools including Adobe Suite After Effects, Photoshop and Audition.

We Would Love To See

  • A strong portfolio of content, with individual contributions clearly attributed per project.
  • High level of video-related technical abilities.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects in various mediums across the finish line in parallel, all while on tight deadline(s).
  • Experience collaborating with visual content development teams and multiple stakeholders all working toward a common goal. Emphasis on in-depth video editing.
  • Openness to feedback and constant, fluid change while resisting the negative effects of “decision by committee.”
  • Strong organizational skills, especially with large volumes of digital visual content such as video, photographs and graphic assets.
  • Self-starter, especially in times of ambiguity.

+ POSITION: SOCIAL MEDIA RESEARCHER

We’re seeking impassioned change-makers to identify social media influencers to help inspire young women and people of color to vote.

You’ll research who has the ears and eyes of our audiences and where they are online. You’ll collaborate with us to reach out to influencers and keep track of what they post. You’ll aid in discovering what makes people tick and how to meet our target audiences where they are.

This role is currently virtual until a vaccine for COVID-19.

You’ll be working with a scrappy team of entrepreneurs, volunteers, activists, data scientists, game makers, creatives and agency types.

This role is as a freelancer starting now for the next few months.

Basic Qualifications

  • Curious, creative and know what’s current with an uncanny sense of what and who inspires young people to take action.
  • Fluent or strong knowledge of, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube platforms.
  • Ability to use research tools and platforms online.

+ POSITION: SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Are you an engaged social media user who knows who to follow, how to get followed back and what to post that gets attention? Do you feel energized by the idea of getting young people to show up and vote this November?

We are seeking impassioned and talented social media interns to manage our social media accounts, research and reach out to influencers and create a robust social media strategy.

The ideal candidate possesses a creative mind, the ability to quickly churn out social media content, and an uncanny sense of what inspires young people to take action.

We’re looking for interns who possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, most importantly including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitch.

You will contribute to social media projects, monitor and post on social networks, engage in online forums, participate in online outreach and promotion, and analyze social media performance metrics.

This role is currently virtual until a vaccine for COVID-19 is available. You’ll report to the Head of Content and be working with a scrappy team of entrepreneurs, activists, data scientists, game makers, creatives, and agency types. This role is as a freelancer starting now for at least two months.

Responsibilities Include

  • Work with the Social Media team to create and implement campaigns
  • Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Assist in creating and managing collaboration events such as webinars
  • Monitor analytics with social media team to identify viable ideas
  • Create and repost engaging social media content
  • Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts
  • Provide support to our team at live and online events

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in social media/marketing
  • Self-starter who is able to think quickly and work well with a team
  • In-depth working knowledge of TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube
  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop Basic as well as knowledge of photo research and editing is ideal.
  • Spanish fluency/proficiency not required, but useful.
