At Feel Good Action we believe diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of dynamic, innovative, and impactful organizations.

In order to motivate and advance collective action for just societies, resilient communities, and a healthy planet, we need the insights and support of people from all ethnicities, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds. To that end, we are committed to the following:

  • Recruiting and maintaining staff and board members whose diverse personal, professional, socio-economic, racial, and gendered experiences continually inform how we pursue our mission.

  • Prioritizing work with people of color, women, those who are differently abled, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and those with varying levels of education and income.

  • Collaborating with influencers and creators interested in using data, media, and behavior science to promote social and environmental justice.

  • Promoting every person’s right to live free from prejudice due to race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, or ability.

  • Understanding diversity in all its forms to be complex and potentially uncomfortable.

  • Using discomfort as an opportunity for growth toward more holistic and inclusive understandings.

Establishing this policy is not a substitute for doing the work. We acknowledge that we, too, have our blind spots; therefore, we seek opportunities to learn more and do better. We use these values as our starting point and to enhance our mission.

Definitions

  • Diversity: the enriching presence of different life experiences within a shared space

  • Equity: fair and impartial access to the same opportunities

  • Inclusion: valuing, welcoming, and leveraging the unique abilities of all people
